Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 July 2026
In short: DASH connects customers who need things delivered with independent drivers who deliver them. Prices are shown upfront in N$, drivers keep 85% of every fare, and everyone agrees to use the platform lawfully and honestly.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Datalani Technology CC, a close corporation registered in Namibia, based in Windhoek ("DASH", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the DASH mobile applications, website and related services (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. The service
DASH is a technology platform that connects customers requesting deliveries with independent drivers who provide delivery services using their own vehicles — from bikes to trucks. DASH itself is not a courier or transport company; deliveries are performed by drivers as independent contractors, not employees or agents of DASH.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
- You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your login credentials private.
- One account per person. Accounts may not be sold, lent, or transferred.
4. Ordering and pricing
- Fares are calculated based on distance and vehicle class, with possible surcharges for heavy or bulky items. The full price in Namibia Dollars (N$) is shown before you confirm an order.
- By confirming an order, you agree to pay the quoted price using your selected method: card (paid securely in the app), eWallet, EFT bank transfer, or cash on delivery.
- Cancellation after a driver has been matched may incur a cancellation fee.
- Refunds and cancellations are handled according to our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
- You must be reachable at the pickup and ensure the receiver is reachable at the drop-off. Failed deliveries caused by unreachable parties may still be charged.
5. Prohibited items
You may not use DASH to send:
- Illegal goods or substances of any kind;
- Weapons, ammunition or explosives;
- Hazardous, flammable or toxic materials;
- Live animals without the required permits and appropriate containment;
- Cash or negotiable instruments beyond payment for the delivery itself;
- Anything requiring a licence or permit the sender does not hold.
Drivers may refuse and report any shipment that appears to violate this section. Violations may lead to immediate suspension and referral to authorities.
6. Driver terms
- To drive on DASH you must hold a valid Namibian driver's licence appropriate to your vehicle, current vehicle registration, and a roadworthy certificate. Documents are verified before approval and must remain valid.
- Drivers are independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship, and drivers are responsible for their own tax obligations, vehicle costs and insurance.
- DASH charges a 15% commission on each completed delivery; drivers keep 85% of the fare. Commission is deducted from the driver's in-app wallet, which can be topped up with prepaid credit packages. Newly approved drivers receive 10 free starter deliveries.
- Drivers choose when to go online. There are no shifts or quotas, but accepted orders must be completed with reasonable care and within a reasonable time.
- Drivers must handle goods with care, follow traffic laws, and treat customers respectfully. Sustained low ratings, document expiry or misconduct may lead to suspension or removal.
7. Conduct
All users agree not to:
- Harass, threaten or discriminate against other users or DASH staff;
- Take payment for platform-arranged deliveries outside the Platform to avoid fees;
- Interfere with the Platform's operation, attempt unauthorised access, or scrape data;
- Provide false information, impersonate others, or misuse promotional codes and credits.
8. Liability
- Delivery time estimates are estimates, not guarantees.
- The sender is responsible for adequately packaging goods and truthfully declaring contents.
- DASH's total liability for any claim related to a delivery is limited to the fare paid for that delivery, except where Namibian law does not allow such a limitation. For high-value shipments, contact support before ordering — goods-in-transit cover options are being finalised.
- The Platform is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
9. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@dashnamibia.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with the reason communicated where practical. Outstanding payment obligations survive termination.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information, and forms part of these Terms.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves. The current version will always be posted here with its date; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia, and any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Namibian courts. Questions about these Terms: hello@dashnamibia.com.
